Síndrome de Bouveret: un hallazgo inesperado

Resumen

Presentamos el caso de un varón de 60 años que ingresa por dolor abdominal con sospecha inicial de pancreatitis aguda biliar pero que, tras ampliar el estudio, se diagnostica de síndrome de Bouveret. Esta entidad, aunque infrecuente, debe tenerse en cuenta en un contexto clínico adecuado, dada su alta tasa de morbimortalidad.

Abstract

We introduce the case of a 60-years-old man who is admitted for abdominal pain, with initial suspicion of acute biliary pancreatitis but that, after expanding the study, was diagnosed with Bouveret syndrome. This entity, although infrequent, must be taken into account in an adequate clinical context, given its high morbidity and mortality rate.
