Resumen

Las funciones principales del esófago son el transporte del bolo y el control del reflujo gastroesofágico. Para su estudio, y el de las anormalidades que puedan existir, se usan varias técnicas como la manometría esofágica, la pHmetría y la impedanciometría esofágica.

Abstract

The main functions of the esophagus are carrying the bolus and the control of the gastroesophageal reflux. Several techniques, such as esophageal manometry, esophageal pH monitoring and esophageal impedance monitoring are used for its study and for the study of the abnormalities that may exist.
